The election is over and the Colorado Secretary of State has reported I received 38,768 votes or 2.19 percent of all votes cast. And as of December there are 7,704 Colorado voters registered Green Party The bad news is that only 3,294 of thoseGreen voters voted in 2010. The Libertarians have 14,987 registered voters and only 7807 of them voted in 2010. The American Constitutional Party has 3,744 Registered Voters. But there still exist 1,120,733 voters who list themselves as unaffiliated. Why? How do they let their fellow citizens know what they want from their governemnt -- what values they see as primary to the success of the country? The simple answer is they don't and are willing to just shop for someone to vote for come election day and are forced to accept what the parties offer and then are persuaded to accept the argument that any vote that is not cast for Democrate or Republican is wasted. But they have created that reality by not getting involved in a Party that represents what they think is best for the country. Today Ron Paul and Ralph Nader supposedly at opposite sides of the political spectrum find they agree that the Corporate rule of the Democratic/Republican parties is destroying our nation and subverting its economy. And the find they agree on many things. Tell your friends to find their party of preference and get involved in making a big change in 2012--one that takes Corporate power out of the picture. I recommend you Register Green. All those independents and dissatisfied Democrats/Republicans could make the Green Party a winner in 2012. Check out the Green Platform on the National GPUS site. and see what we stand for and work for. Do it today. Change your voter Registration and get involved.
. If Vermont can elect Bernie Sanders then Colorado can elect a Green Party candidate!

Military record: U.S. Marine Corps, active duty 1955-58 Other interests, activities or other information: I play clarinet and guitar, sing, play basketball and tennis, hike and ski. The last two books I read were Al Gore’s “Assault on Reason” and a book on Roosevelt’s first 100 days and his Cabinet folks. What are some of your priorities if you’re elected? Our military activities are angering the world, painting a bullseye on us and bankrupting the country. Some national security? End the militarization of space and of our economy — no expansion of Fort Carson-Piñon Canyon. End the “War on Drugs” and the “War on Terror” and drone attacks. Restore our civil liberties. Reduce military spending, now over $1 trillion a year, by 75 percent! Troops home now. With the savings, hire the 15.3 million unemployed at $50,000 jobs, enabling people to pay their mortgages, feed their children and pay their taxes. Real national security will come through the rule of law. Ratify the International Criminal Court and bring all accused of crimes against humanity before it. Ratify the CTBT and START but remove the $180 billion in the pipeline for more nuclear weapons production. End our $3.5 billion military aid to Israel until settlements stop and a just peace for Palestinians is negotiated. End NSA/CIA/FBI secrecy and covert operations. In a democracy, the people need to know the facts. Reopen the 9/11 commission and hold criminals accountable. Show the world we value their humanity equally. Create energy policy and regulatory policy that corrects human activity causing global warming, the destruction of life in the oceans, and poisoning our air, water and food. End the class war. Protect Social Security and Medicare. Extend it to all Americans. End tax cuts for the rich. Re-establish a progressive tax policy, including estate tax and off-shore capital-investment tax. So stop sending jobs overseas. Create strong regulations on banking and financials. End corporate personhood and subsidies. Publicly finance elections. Make the Federal Reserve a publicly controlled means of coining money. Repeal NAFTA and institute fair-trade policies. Legalize marijuana and industrial hemp, granting pardons to all in our prisons for nonviolent drug offenses. Why should you be elected to this office? I know what is going on. The Bush/Obama narrative are lies. I will refuse to ratify or fund the illegal, immoral and perpetual “wars” on terror and drugs driving our “national defense” above a trillion dollars a year. No torture in the name of freedom. Want rule of law? Hold people accountable! I refuse to accept the changes made to our economy and society begun under Reagan/Stockman and carried forward by the Gingrich Contract On America. I know the planet is deeply wounded. I want my grandchildren to have a good life.
From Tom Moore--Boulder Green Party Member00
Why I quit the Dems .I'm no longer a Democrat. They have repeatedly let us down. We have more War and expanded military budget with a shrunken allocations for domestic needs that cry out for help. Truck loads of $ went to banks yet they still give monstrously large bonuses to the elite while they foreclose houses. Pres. Obama has plans to expand "free trade" that is responsible for exporting jobs (e.g. NAFTA and WTO.) Single Payer health insurance was off the table and only a few would even consider it though between 70-80% of us want it. The new bill makes cuts in Medicare and still leaves loads of people without coverage..
How many times do we have to be let down before the picture is clear. The Democrats have little interest in what we want or need. Neither do the Republicans. Bob Kinsey is running as a GREEN for US Senate. check him out at www.kinseyforsenate.org
